Circus Layout for Gecko Galz

My layout for the month-long National Scrapbook Day Festivities over at Gecko Galz is gracing the front page of their website today! Yea! Of course I had to go with a circus theme! Head over to Gecko Galz to find out more about how I put it together and the supplies used!

Gecko Galz May Samples

Here are my samples for the new collage sets from Gecko Galz. I love the sets, lots of variety.

The first is a simple card, with a not so simple image. When I was browsing the card section at the store, several tulle covered cards caught my eye. The images under the tulle were simple, accented with glitter glue. I loved the look and had to recreate it with the bird image in the Spring Time Collection.

Blissfull ATC Swap Returns for April

I had a wonderful surprise today! I got my swap returns from my Blissfull ATC swap partner! We had to make 3 egg themed ATCs and send them, then we received 3 in return.  It took a while to get mine, since they were coming from Down Under! The funny thing was that she mailed hers first, then I mailed mine. She received mine before I received hers!  Crazy postal system!

Click here if you want to see what I sent to her for this swap.

Thanks so much Kamali!

ATC Swap with Gecko Galz and artJOYstuff

A blog friend of mine, artJOYstuff, is challenging herself to make an ATC every week and to trade it to the first person who wants it in exchange for an ATC of their own.  I finally was the first comment! (It pays to be in a different time zone and up all night when East Coast people are just getting their day started!)

Check out the post from her blog HERE. I love the layers and the stitching! Gecko Galz has a ton of domino images that would be perfect for an ATC like this! Thanks for the inspiration Kim!

I was making some ATC swaps for a swap at Gecko Galz, so I decided that if I loved how they turned out, I would make another for this trade.  Well, I love how it turned out! We had to make an ATC in our style, and being the librarian nut, I had to use books!  I even printed up a small due date card for the background!

Supplies:

Library Due Date Card - Tortagialla
Arch shape - Tim Holtz die
Vine - Martha Stewart
Images of butterflies, books, child, and sentiment - Gecko Galz
Doily - stash
Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy
Distress Stain - Faded Jeans
Glitter Glue - Studio G
Vintage Library Catalog Cards - Retro Cafe Art
Perfect Pearls
Seam Binding from Alphastamps and Really Reasonable Ribbon
Glossy Accents
Scor-Tape
Pop dots

Thanks for looking!
